Introduction Trailer for The Reoccurring Chain of Innocent Deceit by Vince de Cock, Lena Nießen and Merel Merkenkamp; ArtEZ 2022
In order to be able to still present a body of work at the ArtEZ Bachelor of Dance Duet Presentations, despite all 3 participants being (partly) sick, I was asked to help create an introduction trailer to be showed at the presentation.
The whole thing came together incredibly quickly. Between me saying I was on stand-by Tuesday morning, to finalising and presenting the trailer Wednesday evening there was about 36 hours.
Together with these incredibly talented dancers & makers we were able to work around restrictions in time, space, gear and vision, to make a banging trailer to celebrate the creative efforts of these amazing artists.
Video collages of analogue works; Own work
When - as an analogue photographer - faced with the issue of increasingly heavy video focused social media platforms, I realised I needed to adapt the way I display my content to assure it remains 'attractive' for these new platforms.
I cannot give exact sources of my inspiration for these video collages - except for my lovely Tiktok mutual Kajol.
All the cuts and animations are handmade and hand assembled, custom for all the video projects. The songs have no discernible meaning behind them, they are also (unwisely, maybe) not chosen for their trending status. With these video's being a celebration of my own work however, I am glad to not have to compromise their identity. I see them, right now, as the climax of my creative efforts.
Displayed in contra-chronological order.
